Queries and Reports
Queries and Reports allow staff to pull data in usable lists. Most apps in the system have a Queries feature and a Reports feature, each listing all queries or reports related to functions in that app. Queries also have their own app, where you can access queries from all targets or build your own queries.
Queries vs. Reports
Queries and Reports are both search types that can be configured to pull lists of data based on specified parameters. While similar in purpose, queries and reports have different properties and uses.
The system comes equipped with baselines searches of both types.
-
Queries: When it comes to new searches, queries allow staff users to create and customize their own.
-
Reports: These cannot be created or modified by staff and must be configured by system developers. Reports are typically used in instances where a custom result layout (such as a custom invoice using unique branding) or an unusually complex search is required.
